Nowhere else in Denmark will you find so many opportunities of being challenged and having fun in the water and in nature than in Hvide Sande. On one side of Holmsland Klit lies the North Sea with its beautiful roaring waves - a great place for daredevils; and on the other side of the dunes you will find Ringkøbing Fjord which is a great place to go swimming and having fun with the children; the water isn't that deep.
If you're not fond of water, you can go cycling or horseback riding where you will experience nature in a different and intimate way. A big part of the area surrounding Ringkøbing Fjord is protected and the unusually rich bird life in and around the fjords (the Tipperne peninsula and Skjern Enge) are protected by European Union rules and regulations.
Remember to bring your wellingtons and a pair of binoculars.
Whether you enjoy battling the waves with other daredevils; a quiet day of fishing by the river; or bringing your lunch to one of the beautiful nature sites in the area to have fun with your children, here's your chance.
