Riding in the nature surrounding Ringkøbing Fjord is a unique experience when you, your horse, and the nature around you are in perfect balance with each other. It’s especially wonderful because the local wildlife sees you and your horse as part of nature; that enables you to get very close to the wildlife by the North Sea and the fjord from the back of a horse.
You can go horseback riding in the dunes, the forests, along the beaches, or on a track where mum and dad are close by. Several horseback riding centres arrange guided tours and track riding, mostly on Icelandic horses; both beginners and advanced riders will enjoy themselves.
Experience West Jutland's nature from a horseback. You can go horseback riding along the beach or the fjord at a steady pace. It is recommended that you have a bit of experience with horseback riding. We mostly use Icelandic horses who are known for being calm and friendly; they have two unique gaits called "tölt" and "flying gaits". Out of consideration for the horses, riders must not weigh more than 100 kg.
Seek out the horseback riding centre or farm closests to the area that you like the most if you want to go horseback riding
